So in X-Men: First Class, Angel Salvadore says, "Angel was my stage name." But Angel Salvadore is listed in the credits as her given name, and in the comics the character Angel Salvadore bears the codename Tempest. So what does it say about Angel that she calls the name she was born with her stage name? And what does Raven think of this- Raven who delights in retitling them all, at first in innocent parody of spy novel tropes but later apparently as part of a genuine attempt at redefinition, for both Erik and herself, who have the most to redefine between them, and who, in the later movies, refers to Raven Darkholme as her slave name?

Third question: why doesn't this fic exist already so that I can read it and sit back and beam like an idiot?

Give me a pairing and if you like a circumstance or setting, and I will write you a kiss.

Unless I just write you angsty stares instead. It happens.

ETA: New rule: if Jim Kirk post-abrupt-transformation-into-a-golden-retriever can possibly be involved in your fill, he will be.

Non-Star Trek fandoms <i>probably</I> exempt.

So probably I had to bring the HTML code to the surface.

OKAY I WAS GOING TO DO MORE WITH THIS FIC, but then I didn't, so now I might as well post it here for archival purposes, I guess. My apologies to Rubynye for the weird numbering on the kinkmeme. :'D

Title: this lens, which polarized
Pairing: Erik/Raven
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Mimicry and memory and baseless speculation about how shapeshifting even works, when Raven does it.

It wasn’t until she went with Erik that she learned that she could change back into former- well- forms without a visual aid, by remembering the sense of being inside a given person, and how it had felt to use musculature that was the infrastructure of a wholly different life.Collapse )

Stolen from cephiedvariable and urban_anchorite , predictably.

Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

The single reason I haven't been on here in ages is I got a tablet.

ETA: Oh and I guess I have a tumblr now? Where I post all my Homestuck crap. I can be found there at batmanandsobbin

Anyway here is an alien girl with lots of teeth. She is in progress.

Meme! Pick a character from any fandom I'm familiar with.

(For our purposes, that's Good Omens, Homestuck, and Star Trek Reboot.)

And I'll answer the questions below. Eventually.

1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her.

2) Is he/she important to the general plot?

3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?

4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?

5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)

6) Is there anything about the character you would change?

7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her?

8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?

9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?

10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?

For clodia_metelli 's prompt, from weeks and weeks ago. Original, I guess.

In which dragons, plural, drink tea from the helmets of knights past; and there is no explanation offered for the presence of the public postal service in this medieval fantasyland.Collapse )
